OUR STORY

We are a small Goat farm in Montcalm County, Michigan.  Raising a variety of goats for several purposes. Our major project is the Goatmilk soaps and lotions but we also raise Registered NZ Kikos, Purbred Kiko, Kiko Crosses and a few Nigerian Dwarfs.

We raise these goats for pets, breeding purposes and also for meat. They Must meet breed standards as well as both milk and meat production or we do not retain that blood line. We have found that the Kikos (as we have been told) are excellent mothers, good production (for BOTH meat and milk) and very good all round improvement to the general overall health of our herd.

We have had goats over the years ranging in all qualities and reasons for having them, however it was 9 years ago we got serious about making such a wonderful product that people of all ages and walks of life enjoy.

Sure everyone says "I can make that" or "I want to do that " but after working on this project for 8 years and finding out how many people really enjoy our products; we changed the goat raising standards and got down right serious about record keeping and selling both our products and goats.  We strive to keep a product at a managable cost so every consumer has a chance to use and enjoy it.  Goats are no different.  Not everyone is ready for full responsiblility of a goat herd and goats ARE herd animals!  It is also a given fact that like potatoe chips or cookies you CANNOT have just ONE or TWO - maybe 4 or 6 but they are addictive and have personalities just like dogs and cats!We did think about using powdered milk or buying from the local goat farmer that might have extra milk....however it is not the same and we know EXACTLY what our goats eat and how their health is so we know EXACTLY what we are passing on to our customers in our lotions and butters. We buy oils and butters from only a couple of wholesalers to keep ingredients simple and natural as we can.Our scents are regulated and we have a usage rate we have to abide by as well as using a good essential oil company. We did our research and I was lucky enough to learn how to soap and make lotion from a VERY reputable and knowlegable soaper.  She taught me well and I will always be grateful for that.  Her lessons and guidance have gotten us where we are today which is with a wonderful family business and enough goats to sustain that business with the milk they produce and the goats we sell to keep the milkers in feed and bedding supplies.

There are many changes and upgrades happening in 2024 so follow us on Facebook, Instagram or right here on the new web page. You will still be able to find us out in the public at the local farm markets and holiday craft sales....we love the people and that will be where the good deals are at.You can also find us at several retail stores and those will be listed here on the website as well as on our Facebook page.As always if you need something give us a jingle and we will see what we can do to help.
